Cycle 360 MTB Series 2021

Organised and set up by a private committee of enthusiastic mountain bikers from Cycle 360 and members from cycling club Manx Viking Wheelers, the Cycle 360 Mountain Bike (MTB) Series is a mass start cross country mountain bike event, based mostly in the Island’s plantations where it’s fun for both novice and serious mountain bikers.

The series launched in 2020 and has used accessible plantations and courses specifically made for each round to ensure a fun flowing course in all weather conditions ever since.

Our 2021 series dates are set and we’re now confident our first round will be Tuesday 4th May given the lockdown legal restrictions lift from 19th April.

All rounds are a 1-hour event, with riders completing as many laps as they can in that allotted 1-hour period.

If you’re competitive and confident when riding your mountain bike, we recommend going for the ‘Super Pro’ category.

If you care about having a laugh more than you do about where you come in the race, we recommend the ‘Baggy Shorts’ category.

The Super Pro category will always start first followed by the Baggy Shorts category a few minutes later. The intention of this is to minimize the faster riders catching newcomers. If you are passing someone, the best practice is to politely call “Rider Up, I’m passing on your left/right”. Aggressive riding and poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated. We must support each other!

If you’re aged 13-17 you’ll need to be in the Youth category.
