Workshop Bicycle Mechanic

Cycle 360’s workshop is looking for a full-time bicycle mechanic who is maticulous, organised, process-driven, efficient and has excellent technical knowledge as well as cycling experience.
Cycle 360’s workshop is open six days a week, closing on Sundays. As a mechanic in the Cycle 360 workshop, you will work alongside other mechanics and the workshop manager, joining a busy and vibrant environment, working with some of the best bike brands and products in the world.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting the workshop team, including the head mechanic in the effective running of the busy Cycle 360 workshop and contributing to a hard-working and enjoyable place to work
- Fixing customer’s bicycles to the highest standard
- Identifying & selling bicycle parts needed for repairs
- Keeping control & tidiness of the workshop ensuring efficiency and organisation
- Having full customer focus – maintaining a high satisfaction rating
- Attracting new business & retaining customers
- Using Cycle 360 processes and systems to the best of your ability and always striving to improve and simplify processes between the workshop and the bikeshop team
Essential candidate requirements:
- Experience in a mechanics role
- 2 years + ‘bike building’ experience
- Great knowledge of bikes and current trends of the cycling industry
- A passion for bikes and a desire to demonstrate this through the standard of your work
- A proactive attitude with a work ethic that is unmatched. You will have a friendly, helpful and efficient manner and can use this to provide industry leading technical service to every Cycle 360 bikeshop customer
- Thrive on a challenge and take pride in solving problems
- Personable with excellent telephone manner
- IT literate across a number of packages with strong organisational and admin skills
