Coronavirus Circuit Breaker: An update from us

In light of the Isle of Man Government’s most recent update that the Island will be going into a ‘circuit breaker’ period for 21 days from 00:01 Thursday 7th January, we have taken the difficult decision to close from 8pm tonight to all cafe and fitness customers, with our bikeshop remaining open only.

This is written with much regret and sadness but due to the encouragement from the government briefing that if businesses can close from tomorrow (Wednesday), then they should, we have decided this is the best and safest decision.

This does therefore directly impact members of our gym, our freelancing teacher community and all classes and this does mean all classes are cancelled tomorrow (Wednesday) and the gym will sadly not be open for any members or PAYG customers.

With that said, we want to assure you that if you are a member as of today (5th January 2021) including if you’re an annual member too, your membership will be frozen for at least 21 days.  If you have a PAYG class or class pack, we will issue a new expiry date that will extend the 21 day period.

Like we did back in the Spring, we will be encouraging all members of the community to get involved with virtual classes, put on by our freelance instructors.  Cycle 360 will be hosting weekly wattbike / indoor cycling 1-hour sessions every Monday and Wednesday 5:30pm – 6:30pm. Please follow @fitness360isleofman on Instagram for updates arriving next week.

We realise this is a short update for now, but we’re working fast, given we only received the news a couple of hours ago.  More information will arrive shortly relating to our bikeshop but in the meantime please be patient with us while we work through the logistics of closing the cafe and the fitness club, and keeping the bikeshop open under strict new safety guidelines. Our 33-strong team are all just as sad as you will be that we are closing, but we’ll get through it together!

Finally, thank you to everyone for being our customer, for supporting us and our team.  Stay safe & healthy, and let’s all look out for each other and get through this as a whole community once again.
