Louise Minchin Visits Cycle 360

Former BBC Breakfast Presenter, endurance athlete, writer and podcaster, Louise Minchin visited the Isle of Man last week and her first stop was to Cycle 360!

Minchin, who was invited over by the team at Media Isle of Man to present at the hotly-anticipated Awards for Excellence, visited Cycle 360 for much-needed coffee after travelling, and a light breakfast before being kitted out by Team 360 to head out on a road bike adventure across the Isle of Man.

Cycle 360’s Sacha Horsthuis organised the road ride and was joined by Micky Swindale from KPMG and Manx professional cyclist Anna Christian.

The ride started at Cycle 360, took them across to Tynwald Hill at St John’s and Fenella Beach in Peel via the infamous TT course.  Sacha, Louise, Micky and Anna then rode up North of the Island along the scenic coast road to Kirk Michael and Ballaugh before stopping in Ramsey.

Micky Swindale, who co-hosted the Awards for Excellence with Louise said on her personal LinkedIn page:

“We started the day with a ride out from Cycle 360 with Sacha Horsthuis and Manx racing cyclist Anna Christian – very grateful to them for taking us out and cycling at our speed, and you can see from our smiles what a great time we had!
…by the time it got to the Awards evening we felt like old friends”

Louise posted a selfie on her Instagram following her visit to the Isle of Man reflecting on the road bike adventure giving thanks to the cyclists for showing her “their home”.

Minchin presented the UK’s most watched breakfast programme, BBC Breakfast, on BBC One for 20 years until 2021.  Louise is now dedicated to researching, writing and sharing inspirational stories on endurance athletes.
